"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." Theodore Roosevelt

Priorities

Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule...
President Bush, following the deadliest roadside bomb attack on U.S. forces in Iraq, said on Wednesday the best way to honor the dead was to fight the insurgents and train Iraqi troops, and he rejected any early U.S. pullout.

"We're at war. We're facing an enemy that is ruthless. If we put out a [pullout] timetable, the enemy would adjust their tactics," he said in a speech in Grapevine, a Dallas suburb. Bush spoke on the first day of a 33-day break from Washington, to be spent mostly on vacation at his Texas ranch, his 51st visit there since taking office in 2001.
It's nice to know that our Commander in Chief has his priorities straight.
